The relationship between a craftsman and his material is not formed quickly. It grows through thousands of hours — through mistakes, through discovery, through the slow accumulation of knowledge that cannot be learned from books.
Oleg has been working in jewelry for over 25 years. His craft is not a skill he acquired. It is something that runs alongside his understanding of the world: a deep connection to local history, to the earth, to the idea that making something with your hands is an act of intelligence, not just labor.
His approach has never been decorative. He creates pieces that hold something — a relationship between the material and the person who will carry it. He sees the stone not as an accent but as a protagonist. He sees the metal not as a vessel but as a language.
Every OURSA piece begins in Oleg's hands and in his understanding of what that piece is for.
The other half of OURSA is less visible but equally essential. Natalia brings 30 years of experience in business strategy, brand development, and deep knowledge of natural materials — gemstones, metals, and the ancient and modern methods that have shaped how they are worked and understood.
She is the connective tissue. The person who understands both the language of a rough-cut emerald and the language of a market. Who ensures that every piece produced under the OURSA name carries the same standard — not as a rule imposed from outside, but as a commitment that comes from within.
Her knowledge of gemstones spans their geological origins, their historical roles across civilizations, and the emotional register they carry today. Her role is to make sure that what Oleg creates in his studio reaches the world without losing any of what made it.
OURSA was founded on a principle that sounds simple but proves difficult in practice: that every piece of jewelry should mean something. Not in a sentimental way. In a real way.
We work with materials that have existed alongside human civilization since before recorded history. We study those materials — their geological origins, their symbolic lives in different cultures, their emotional resonance across eras. And then we use that knowledge to create something that connects the person wearing it to something larger than themselves.
This is the Stone–Metal–Human framework that guides every piece we make. Not a formula. A way of thinking about what jewelry is actually for.
We do not make jewelry for trends. We make pieces that will still carry meaning in twenty years. In fifty. That will be passed down. That will matter.
